A Delegation of Charles University of Czech Republic visits TMDU
On Monday, April 24, 2023, a delegation of Charles University of Czech Republic lead by Dr. Antonin Tichy, a TMDU alumnus, currently holding the position of assistant professor at Charles University visited Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) to exchange views on future collaboration between TMDU and Charles University.
Founded in 1348, Charles University is the oldest university in Central Europe and the largest university in Czech Republic. It is also known for accepting international students all over the world including those from Japan.
The meeting was made possible through a request from Dr. Antonin Tichy, an alumnus of Department of Cariology and Operative Dentistry, for future collaborations.
The meeting was moderated by Mr. Fujiya, Senior Office Manager, Institute of Global Affairs (IGA), and attended by TMDU’s Professor Yasushi Shimada, Department of Cariology and Operative Dentistry and Dr. Hisanori Hasegawa, Lecturer in the Department of Rheumatology with co-appointment to IGA.
Following an introduction from each university, opinions were exchanged on the possibilities for future collaboration, including dispatch and acceptance of students.
We hope that this meeting will lead to a further development of exchanges in the future.
