本支援室は、遺伝子組換えマウスの作成・維持・解析を円滑に行うことにより、研究者及び大学院教育を支援する目的で設置されました。清浄性や飼育環境等の管理をおこないつつ、利用者の便宜を図るため、本実験室で実施される研究は、未来ゲノム研究開発支援室運営に関わる申し合わせに従って実施されます。
外来遺伝子を導入したトランスジェニックマウスや内在性遺伝子を破壊したノックアウトマウスや、外来遺伝子を内在性遺伝子に正確に挿入したノックインマウスなどの遺伝子組換えマウスの作成は、ある遺伝子の生体内での機能を解析する上で不可欠な手段であります。
これらの遺伝子組換えマウスは種々の異常を呈することが多く、ヒト疾患の研究に有効な動物モデルを提供しており、医学生物学の研究および教育に欠かせないものとなっています。
また、ゲノム編集技術による遺伝子改変マウスの作製等の受託サービスを行っていますので、各種サービスをご利用希望の方は下記までお問い合わせください。

This support laboratory (Genome editing for biomedical research) was established to assist researchers and graduate education by facilitating the creation, maintenance, and analysis of genetically modified mice. To ensure a clean environment and proper management, all research conducted in this laboratory follows guidelines related to the operation of the Laboratory of Genome editing for biomedical research.
Creating genetically modified mice, such as transgenic mice with introduced foreign genes, knockout mice with disrupted endogenous genes, and knock-in mice where foreign genes are precisely inserted into endogenous genes, is essential for analyzing the in vivo functions of specific genes. These genetically modified mice often exhibit various abnormalities and provide effective animal models for studying human diseases, making them indispensable for research and education in medical biology.
