Essential Expertise for Clinical Dentistry 2 (EECD2) Report
Our second hands-on session in Essential Expertise for Clinical Dentistry 2 (EECD2) has finished successfully on January 19th.
The session, “Flap operation: Basic training of periodontal surgery” using pig jaws, gave the participants an opportunity to learn and practice of incision, flap elevation, debridement and suturing techniques required in periodontal surgery under the assumed clinical situation: deep periodontal pockets in the lower molars. The session was conducted by Assistant Professor Koji MIZUTANI (Department of Periodontology) with sub-instructors; Dr. Shogo MAEKAWA (Department of Oral Diagnosis and General Dentistry), Dr. Mizuki NAGATA, Dr. Kosei YANO and Dr. Risako MIKAMI (Department of Periodontology) with great success.
Next session will be held in February with the title of “Border molding and impression for mandibular complete denture”…our first LIVE session!
