Essential Expertise for Clinical Dentistry 4 (EECD4) Report (Second week)
As we announced in EECD3, in this summer's EECD we included a basic science lecture.
We were honored to receive an "Advanced Biomaterials" lecture by Prof. Motohiro UO (Department of Advanced Biomaterials) on August 27th, 2018. In this lecture, participants could learn about the basics of ceramics, glass and glass-ceramics and had the chance to ask questions and discuss this complex topic with the professor. Through this session participants were exposed to a better understanding of and in turn a chance to enhance their future use of these materials. As TMDU's strengths are not only in clinical expertise but also basic science, we hope to be able to include more sessions like this in the coming courses.
