Essential Expertise for Clinical Dentistry 2 (EECD2) Report
We are pleased to announce that our second season for Essential Expertise for Clinical Dentistry (EECD) has started successfully with a fruitful case based discussion.
The very first session, “Decision making for prosthodontic treatment in a case of multiple tooth loss,” by Assistant Professor Manabu KANAZAWA (Department of Gerodontology and Oral Rehabilitation) and Dr. Anna MIYAYASU (PhD student, Department of Gerodontology and Oral Rehabilitation) was held on October 27th, 2016. Participants had the chance to engage in discussions with their peers on prosthetic plans for maxillary multiple tooth loss and could learn key clinical dental points in treatment planning for prosthodontics through the interactive lecture.
This course aims at not only 1) updating participants’ dental clinical knowledge (case study lectures), but also 2) developing and brushing up clinical techniques (hands-on sessions). Next session will be held in November with the title of “Treatment planning for periodontics with advanced bone loss”…stay tuned!!
