Open Access has created a transparent and sustainable research process that helps nurture the development of science. The current landscape of Open Access has seen prolific growth and shift in acceptance despite early reservations. But what does Open Access really mean to authors and how are recent developments relevant to research. In recent years, there have been many advantages to publishing in open access. However, there are several predatory journals that prey on researchers and one needs to be aware of them. This webinar will explain the benefits of publishing in open access and the publication process, and will provide guidelines for choosing the right submission partners. *This seminar will be recorded, and the video will be available until 1 year later. |

Lecturer | Dr. Monika Sobocan(Cactus Communications) Dr. Monika Sobocan is a medical doctor with over 5 years of experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research. She has communicated the findings of her research in high impact-factor journals. She is highly involved in providing and evaluating medical education and serves on committees for technology enhanced learning in Europe. Her scientific interests are research in preventative and predictive medicine within the disciplines of oncology and female health. She has been recognized for her scientific work by a prestigious national fellowship for women in science. |
