Medical and Health Care

Some international students have health problems during their stay in Japan, mainly because of environmental changes. Being in good health is very important for you to achieve success in your research and studies. Please take care of your health and make full use of the following services offered by the Health Service Center, Tokyo Medical and Dental University.

On Campus Services

Health Administration Center

The Health Administration Center has the goal of advising and assisting students and staff at TMDU concerning their psychological and physical well-being in order to help them accomplish their educational goals.
1. Health Check (free)
All students are required to have a periodic health check conducted annually in May. The check includes physical measurement, internal examination, ophthalmological examination, chest X-ray, and urine test. The health certificate, necessary for the applications of various scholarships, will be issued based on the results of this periodic health check.
