Scholarship Application Registration／奨学金申請登録

If you would like to apply for a University Recommendation type scholarship, you need to pre-register through the International Student Support Unit. You cannot apply for any University Recommendation type scholarships without completing this pre-registration procedure. The International Student Support Unit will select a candidate from all registered students.
大学推薦の奨学金に申請を希望する場合、学生受入係を通じて事前登録を行う必要があります。
この事前登録を行わない場合，大学推薦の奨学金への申請はできません。
登録者の中から学生受入係にて推薦学生を選出します。

*The registration is valid for one year. Even you have registered in the spring semester, if there will be any changes to your enrollment status (such as becoming a graduate student), please submit the pre-registration form again.
　事前申請の有効期間は1年間です。学籍に変更が生じた際（大学院へ進学等）は、再度登録票を提出してください。

* Completing the pre-registration procedure does not entitle you to receive any scholarship.
　事前申請を行っても各財団等に推薦されるとは限りません。

Eligibility/ 登録資格

・You must be enrolled at TMDU as a regular student (graduate/ undergraduate student) or
　a research student at the time of pre-registration.
　登録時に正規生（大学院生・学部生）、大学院研究生として在籍していること

・You must hold a residence status of “Student.”
　在留資格「留学」を有していること

・You haven’t repeated an academic year/ extended the regular study period.
　留年していない／標準修業年限を超過していないこと

・You were never subjected to disciplinary action in the past.
　過去に懲戒処分を受けていないこと

・You are not applying to or receiving the TMDU WISE Program Fellowship.
　TMDU卓越大学院生制度に併願または併給していないこと

Registration Period/ 登録期間

April 1(Mon), 2024 - August 30（Fri), 2024
2024年4月1日（月）～2024年8月30日（金）

*Registration will open in September 2024 again after the integration of the universities. We will announce the schedule as soon as it is finalized.
2024年秋の大学統合後、事前登録が再度可能となります。スケジュールについては決まり次第発表いたします。

Required Documents/ 必要書類

(1) Scholarship Application Registration Form/ 奨学金申請登録票
* Submit in an EXCEL format./ EXCELファイルを提出すること。

(2) Essay/ 申請理由書
　* Print out and fill out the form with your handwriting and save as an image format file. （jpg, jpeg,png, gif, pdf）/
　　本フォームを印刷し、手書きで記入後、画像形式（jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf）で保存してください。

(3) Copy of Residence Card (Both sides) / 在留カードのコピー（両面）

(4) Academic Transcript/ 成績証明書
　* Please submit the latest records. Photocopy is acceptable.
　　最新のものを提出すること。コピー可
　*１年生の場合、前課程の成績証明書（母国の大学の成績証明書等）を提出すること
　　If you are a first-year student, please submit transcripts from your previous institutions
　　(e.g. academic records at the university in your home country which you graduated from).

(5) Copy of Japanese Language Proficiency Test Certificate / 日本語能力検定認定書
* If applicable./ 該当する場合のみ

(6) Research Achievement Supporting Documents/ 研究業績書類
　* Undergraduate students are not required to submit. / 学部学生は提出不要
　* For those who have a publication a/o presentation during April 2023 - March 2024./ 2023年4月～2024年3月に掲載論文または学会発表があった者
The most recent one if you have several achievements within the period. / 対象期間中に複数件ある場合は直近の1件分のみ提出してください。
　【Paper / 掲載論文】
　　A. Copy of the paper with peer review
　　B. Copy of the paper without peer review
　　*Please submit a page that contains ①Thesis subject, ②Coauthor’s name, ③Names of academic journals and publications it was placed, ④Publication volume, issue, page and ⑤Publication date. Please highlight on ① to ⑤ before uploading the file.
　【Academic Presentation / 学会発表】
　　C. Copy of the program of the international academic meeting
　　D. Copy of the program of the domestic academic meeting
　 *Please submit a page that contains ①Thesis subject, ②Name of the academic meeting you presented and ③Presentation date. Please highlight on ① to ③ before uploading the file.

！Please note that incomplete/ missing documents will affect the selection process.

★Submission/ 提出方法

All the required documents should be uploaded via the following Forms.

Scholarship Application Registration

Please download (1) Scholarship Applicaiton Registration Form and (2) Essay from the links in the "Required Documents" first.
Proceed with the online registration when all your documents (1) - (6) are ready.
* Submit document (1) in an EXCEL format and the rest of the documents as image files./
* Each file size should be less than 2 MB.
* Multi-page documents must be compiled to a single file (You cannot upload multiple files for each section).
* The required documents are not accepted via email.

奨学金申請登録

まずは「必要書類」のリンクから（１）奨学金申請登録票と（２）申請理由書を事前にダウンロードしてください。
すべての書類（１）～（６）が揃ってからオンライン登録を行うようにしてください。
＊書類（１）はEXCELファイル、残りの書類は画像で提出すること。
＊各ファイルのサイズは２MB以下とすること
＊複数ページの書類はひとつのファイルにまとめてください（ひとつの項目に複数のファイルをアップロードできません）。
＊必要書類はメール添付では受付しません。

Schedule/ スケジュール

1. Pre-registration (April OR September)
　　事前登録（4月および9月）

2. Internal Selection: Document review will be conducted by the commitee.
　　学内選考：委員会にて書類審査

3．Apply to the foundation: If you are selected as a candidate, you will be asked to fill out
　the relevant scholarship application documents, and submit these to
　the International Student Support Unit.
　　各財団等へ推薦：候補者として選ばれた場合、財団等への申請書類を作成し、学生受入係へ提出します。

4．Notification of Results: If you are selected by the foundation, you will be awarded a scholarship.
　　結果通知：採用された場合、奨学金を受給できます。

NOTE/ 留意事項

- These scholarships are available only to self-supporting international students at TMDU.
　We do not accept overseas applications. You can apply for these scholarships
　ONLY AFTER you are enrolled at TMDU as self-supporting students and start living in Japan.
　これらの奨学金は東京医科歯科大学に在籍する私費外国人留学生が対象です。
　海外からの応募は受け付けていません。
　東京医科歯科大学に入学後、日本に住んでいる方のみこれらの奨学金に申請できます。

- Most private foundations require applicants to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Japanese
　and you need to fill in application documents in Japanese as well.
　多くの民間団体は高いレベルの日本語能力を要求しており、申請書類も日本語で記入する場合が多いです。

- Being selected as a candidate for a university recommended scholarship doesn’t
　guarantee you will receive that scholarship.
　大学から候補者として推薦されても、必ず採用されるとは限りません。

- If you are selected as a candidate for the university recommendation scholarship,
　you cannot apply for any other scholarships until you receive the results from the foundation.
　大学推薦奨学金の候補者に選ばれた場合、財団等から結果が来るまで他の奨学金に応募できません。

- If you have been awarded both types of scholarships, you must cancel the direct application scholarship
　and receive the university recommendation scholarship.
　大学推薦と個人応募の奨学金に同時に採用された場合、個人応募は辞退し、大学推薦の奨学金を受給してください。
