Diploma Policy

Nursing Advanced Sciences Course (have been started from 2014)

[Doctoral Program]

A degree is given to those who have been in the Graduate School of Health Care Sciences for a designated period, taken the subjects offered in this graduate school and acquired the number of credits necessary to complete the course, as well as received research guidance based on the basic philosophy of this graduate school and worked on the thesis for a degree, passed the thesis examination executed by this graduate school, and fulfills the following criteria. The degree to be given is a Ph. D. (Nursing Sciences).

  1. Has the capability of performing pioneering research activities with high academic knowledge, skills, and practical skills necessary to engage in highly professional work in the nursing sciences field.

  2. Has the capability of educating the next generation as well as performing global and academic leadership as an educator and instructor with a high level of expertise and high ethical standards.

  3. Has acquired the most advanced knowledge and skills in the specialized field of nursing sciences, and has the capability of developing high practices rooted in scientific thinking and ethics.

Joint Disaster Nursing Science Course (have been started from 2014)

[Doctoral Program]

A degree is given to the following individuals who have been in the Graduate School of Health Care Sciences for a designated period, taken the subjects on nursing sciences and related subjects and acquired the number of credits necessary to complete the course, as well as passed the doctorate thesis examination and final examination, and fulfills the following criteria. The degree to be given is a Ph. D. (Nursing Sciences), with an additional note of (DNGL: Disaster Nursing Global Leader).

  1. Has demonstrated excellent research and achievements, and has the capability of contributing to establishing disaster nursing sciences from global and academic views.

  2. Has expertise and guidance ability relating to disaster nursing science in all stages of the disaster cycle, and has the capability of practicing comprehensive/creative businesses and research.

  3. Has thorough knowledge of the disaster cycle, performs excellent leadership and coordinating abilities, and has the capability of addressing and resolving issues as a professional with a high level of expertise in disaster nursing and high ethical standards.

Biomedical Laboratory Sciences Course

[Masters Degree]

A degree is given to the following individuals who have been in the Graduate School of Health Care Sciences (Masters Degree) for a designated period, taken the subjects offered in this graduate school and acquired the number of credits necessary to complete the course, as well as received research guidance based on the basic philosophy of this graduate school and worked on the thesis for a degree, passed the thesis examination executed by this graduate school, and fulfills the following criteria. The degree to be given is a Master (Health Care).

  1. Has acquired the most advanced knowledge and skills in the specialized field of biomedical laboratory sciences, and has the capability of developing high practices rooted in scientific thinking and ethics.

  2. Has the capability of performing the roles as an instructor, manager, educator, and researcher in the specialized field of biomedical laboratory sciences, with a foundation of high practical skills.

[Doctoral Program]

A degree is given to the following individuals who have been in the Graduate School of Health Care Sciences (Doctoral Program) for a designated period, taken the subjects offered in this graduate school and acquired the number of credits necessary to complete the course, as well as received research guidance based on the basic philosophy of this graduate school and worked on the thesis for a degree, passed the thesis examination executed by this graduate school followed by the final examination mainly on the thesis and relating subjects, and fulfills the following criteria. The degree to be given is a Ph. D. (Health Care).

  1. Has the capability of performing pioneering research activities with high academic knowledge, skills, and practical skills necessary to engage in highly professional work in the biomedical laboratory sciences field.

  2. Has the qualities and competency to perform global and academic leadership as an instructor, manager, educator, and researcher with a high level of expertise and high ethical standards.
