Curriculum Policy

We offer three courses, the Nursing Advanced Sciences Course, the Joint Disaster Nursing Science Course, and the Biomedical Laboratory Sciences Course, and each course has its own curriculum. Our basic philosophy for each course is to train professionals who can exercise global and academic guidance who can educate for the future, by proactively working on clinical-oriented research for challenges in nursing and biomedical laboratory sciences.

Nursing Advanced Sciences Course (have been started from 2014)

[Doctoral Program]

  1. Take common subjects on methodologies necessary for professional nursing practice and research as well as educational roles.

  2. Take specialized subjects in the first year, mainly in the student’s specialized field, advanced practice, and research.

  3. To promote learning with a wide vision, take specialize subjects in fields other than the student’s specialty.

  4. Prepare practicum subjects to enhance knowledge and skills in the specialized field as well as to support the student’s research paper. Receive guidance from multiple teaching staff members, instructors, and preceptors.

  5. In research paper guidance, the student may receive guidance from the teaching staff in other fields to enhance widely intellectual and ethical understanding of relating areas.

Joint Disaster Nursing Science Course (have been started from 2014)

[Doctoral Program]

  1. Take three subject groups, practicum, and research support subject group to acquire professional practical skills and research on disaster nursing, as well as the functions and roles as a global leader.

  2. Take subjects relating to the basics of nursing sciences studies as well as subjects and practicum necessary for global leaders in disaster.

  3. Work to train global and academic competency to promote learning with a wide vision.

  4. Enhance knowledge and skills relating to disaster nursing sciences, with focus on research papers.

Biomedical Laboratory Sciences Course

[Masters Degree]

To reach the training goal of the Graduate School of Health Care Sciences, education will be performed based on the following policy.

  1. Health care-related subjects requiring studying beyond the student’s major course may be taken as a common subject.

  2. For methodologies necessary to perform practice or research, common subjects as a major may be prepared and taken.

  3. The student is to take specialized subjects in the first year, mainly on advanced practice and research in the specialized field.

  4. To promote learning with a wide vision, specialized subjects in other fields may be taken.

  5. To enhance knowledge and skills relating to advanced practice and research for each specialized field as well as to support the student’s research paper, the student may receive guidance by multiple teaching staff members.

  6. To learn about advanced practice for each specialized field, the student is to take experimental subjects.

  7. To enhance widely intellectual and ethical understanding of relating areas, the student may receive research guidance from teaching staff in other fields.

  8. To acquire a global vision, classes are performed in foreign languages.

  9. A curriculum is in place to suit various demands by students, including adult entrance programs and long-term learning programs.

[Doctoral Program]

To reach the training goal of the Graduate School of Health Care Sciences, education will be performed based on the following policy.

  1. The student is to take specialized subjects in the first year, mainly on advanced practice and research in the specialized field.

  2. To promote learning with a wide vision, the student may take up to ten credits from the subjects offered in the Masters Degree program.

  3. To support research papers, practicum is prepared and the student may receive research guidance from teaching staff in other fields.

  4. To enhance widely intellectual and ethical understanding of relating areas, the student may receive research guidance from teaching staff in other fields.

  5. A curriculum is in place to suit various demands by students, including adult entrance programs and long-term learning programs.
