Settling In

In order to stay in Japan and pursue research and studies, you must comply with various formalities including acquisition of a status of resident in accordance with the "Immigration and Refuge Act" and other relevant laws of Japan. The University has several types of residential housing for international students: International House, International Student House, student dormitories, and housing arranged by the Japan Student Services Organization, JASSO. Private accommodations such as apartments are also available near campus. Please consult with the International Exchange Center Office for details on housing.


Patents, trademarks, copyright and other intellectual property are under Japanese law at TMDU. For details please consult with the Intellectual Property Division.
