Helping students acclimate
Incoming International Students: You will be assigned a tutor, who is another TMDU student, for your first year in Japan. Your tutor can answer questions, explain procedures, help you fill out documents and provide support during your first year of life and study in Japan.
Candidate Tutors: We will help train you to help international students acclimate to life and study in Japan.
Tutors at TMDU are Japanese students who help support new international students smoothly adapt to their new academic environment and to life in Japan. A former tutor told the group of new tutors for 2011 about her experience as a tutor, giving the new tutors a lot of useful information such as how to create and maintain a good relationship with tutees.
