Message from the Presidents

Institute of Science Tokyo, with its mission of advancing science and human well-being, is launching an Inaugural Giving Campaign to celebrate the upcoming integration of Tokyo Medical and Dental University and Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2024. This campaign aims to promote convergence science and address societal challenges, helping to build a better future. The pursuit of scientific advancement and human well-being is our path forward, and support for this campaign will be an essential step in realizing this mission.
 
By integrating knowledge and technology from diverse fields to create new solutions, we aim to provide value to society and advance towards a sustainable future. This campaign will help facilitate collaboration and innovation across academic and research disciplines, as well as organizational boundaries.
 
We are committed to respecting individual personalities and aspirations, and fostering a culture of rich humanity and creativity, we will lay a solid foundation for building a better future. Special Appreciation Gift for the Inaugural Giving Campaign

As a token of our special appreciation for those who support us during the Inaugural Giving Campaign, we have prepared original goods featuring the "SCIENCE TOKYO" logo. These items will be presented to donors who wish to receive them. Additionally, you can choose to combine different items according to your preference.

SCIENCE TOKYO Original Leather Key Holder

For every donation of 10,000 yen, you can receive one key holder.

The university logo will be engraved on the surface.

The key holder features the "SCIENCE TOKYO" logo embossed in white and gray foil. The key holder is crafted from Italian vegetable-tanned leather, which uses tannins extracted from natural plants like leaves and wood. This traditional method produces leather that develops a rich patina over time with use. The ring is a durable double ring, also made in Italy.

Japanese Wine

Japanese wine 'Akeno' and the Grace Wine winery in Yamanashi Prefecture

For every donation of 100,000 yen, you can receive one bottle of Japanese Wine.

You will be sent a bottle of the Japanese wine "Akeno," produced by Grace Wine in Yamanashi Prefecture, along with a mini booklet detailing the story of its production (Institute of Science Tokyo Inaugural Giving Campaign Edition). With a history spanning 100 years, Grace Wine is renowned for its meticulous winemaking process, which includes hand-picking the harvest. Recognized as one of Japan's leading wineries, Grace Wine was awarded the highest rating of five stars at the Japan Winery Awards 2024 for its significant contributions to gaining global recognition for Koshu wine grapes, and for its exceptional international reputation.

The movement is made by SEIKO Clock Inc.

A gold-framed clock embedded in eco-friendly crystal with zero lead content. The “Science Tokyo” logo is printed in color on the crystal surface. The brand color, Science Blue, embodies Science Tokyo's aspiration to explore and advance science. It reflects the spirit of inquiry that allows us to integrate knowledge and technology, the hope that stems from an existence and well-being that are uniquely human, and the rich culture of creation nurtured through respect for the individual personalities and thoughts of each person.

Blue & gold striped necktie A stripe pattern necktie with TMDU’s school colors and logo. The tie is custom-made by Ginza Taya, a shop well known for quality men’s clothing.

A custom-made 100% silk scarf printed with the cover illustration of our public relations magazine (size 90cm x 90cm).

Donations of 100,000 to 300,000 yen or more
A pin stamped with the TMDU logo and a serial number engraved on the back. Donors who donated 100,000 yen or 300,000 yen or more will be presented with a bronze pin and sterling silver pin, respectively (size: 20mm x 20mm).

Recognition of donors

Donors will be recognized in the following way as a means to express our appreciation.

(1) Registration of Donors

All donors will have their names recorded on the Donor Register and commemorated in TMDU's history. Donors’ names will also be recognized on the TMDU website. (Those who do not wish to have their names published can remain anonymous.)

(2) Donor recognition plaque

We will commemorate the names of those who donate according to the following categories on the "Tokyo Medical and Dental University Fund Donor Plaque" (M&D Tower 2F Foyer) to honor their contributions for posterity.

Bronze: ¥300,000 or more
Silver: ¥1,000,000 or more (Meritorious Service Award)
Platinum: ¥5,000,000 or more (Special Meritorious Service Award)
Pink Gold: ¥10,000,000 or more (Honorary Meritorious Service Award)
BLOOM GOLD: ¥30,000,000 or more (Distinguished Meritorious Service Award)
MISSION BLUE: ¥100,000,000 or more (Special Distinguished Meritorious Service Award)

(3) Invitation to TMDU event

For those who have donated 1 million yen or more (Distinguished Service Award), will be invited to a meeting with the President and Executive Directors, and welcome you as a guest to events hosted by the university.
