For Patients Who Previously Underwent Genetic Testing in Our Department

Our department would like to make effective use of genomic DNA samples that were sent to us for genetic diagnosis from April 1999 to the present, for research aimed at clarifying the causes and pathophysiology of spinocerebellar degeneration and other intractable neurological diseases. The procedures are conducted in accordance with the Ethical Guidelines for Human Genome and Gene Analysis Research issued by the relevant ministries of Japan. Personal information is fully protected, there is no disadvantage to the patient, and no cost is incurred.
