Duangtawan Rintanalert

My name is Duangtawan Rintanalert, and I am an orthodontist currently working at Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health (QSNICH) in Bangkok, Thailand. As a former PhD student in the Joint Degree Doctoral Program in Orthodontics between the Institute of Science Tokyo (formerly TMDU) and Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, I was fortunate to gain both clinical experience in Thailand and research training in Japan. This program played an important role in shaping who I am today as a clinician and researcher.
My time in Japan focused mainly on animal research. This experience taught me patience, discipline, and attention to detail, and helped me develop a more systematic and scientific way of thinking. It also improved my ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make evidence-based decisions in my work.
Today, I apply these skills in my daily practice at the hospital, where I care for patients with complex medical needs from across the country. Looking ahead, I plan to continue using the research skills, work ethic, and life experience I gained in Japan to improve patient care, develop meaningful research, and contribute positively to the hospital and community.
私はドゥアンタワン・リンタナレルトと申します。現在はタイ・バンコクのクイーン・シリキット国立小児保健研究所（QSNICH）にて矯正歯科医として勤務しています。東京科学大学（旧東京医科歯科大学）とタイのチュラロンコーン大学が共同で実施する矯正歯科博士課程の学生として、タイでの臨床経験と日本での研究研修の両方を積むという幸運に恵まれました。このプログラムは、臨床医および研究者としての現在の私を形成する上で重要な役割を果たしました。
日本での滞在中は、主に動物実験に注力しました。この経験を通じて、忍耐力、規律、そして細部への注意を学び、より体系的かつ科学的な思考法を身につけることができました。また、データ分析能力、問題解決能力、そして業務におけるエビデンスに基づいた意思決定能力も向上しました。
現在、私は病院での日常診療においてこれらのスキルを活かし、全国各地から訪れる複雑な医療ニーズを持つ患者さんのケアにあたっています。今後も、日本で得た研究スキル、勤勉な姿勢、そして人生経験を生かし、患者ケアの向上、意義ある研究の推進、そして病院や地域社会への積極的な貢献に努めていきたいと考えています。
