University of Chile and TMDU Joint Degree Doctoral Program in Medical Sciences with mention of a medical specialty

Tomoyuki Odagaki

As of October, 2020

My name is Tomoyuki Odagaki and I am currently a third-year student at the University of Chile and TMDU Joint Degree Doctoral Program in Medical Sciences with mention of a medical specialty.

So far, I have not only been conducting research activities in Chile as a JDP graduate student, but from December 2014 to March 2020, I had also been dispatched to the office of TMDU in Chile: The Latin American Collaborative Research Center (LACRC), in order to work as an endoscopist in the Prevention Project for Neoplasia of the Colon and Rectum (PRENEC) alongside Chilean doctors.

I certainly think that my various experiences in Chile have given me a wider perspective than before.

I will definitely continue to strive to involve in Chilean medicine in terms of both research and clinical practice.
