When studying vocabulary, try to see how the words are really used, rather than just memorizing their definitions.
Learning definitions will mostly help your reading and listening ability, but is not an effective method of improving speaking and writing skills.
You should thus learn the words in the contexts in which they are typically used. Your English study will be much more effective if it involves a lot of reading and listening, so you can see and hear words in context.

Some flashcard suggestions
While you are studying at TMDU, you may want to make your own flashcards. Quizlet also lets you make your own. When you make your own flashcards, you should include:

- Example sentence (to help you learn how to use the word in context)
