Joined Medtec Japan for promoting practical use of research results

We have participated in Medtec Japan, one of the largest exhibitions in Asia related to the manufacture and design of medical devices, for promoting the social implementation of recent research results. The number of exhibitors this time was 292, and the total number of visitors for the three days was 11,917, about 3,000 above the previous year.

We resumed real exhibitions from last year, and this year exhibited 2 themes from Shizuoka University and 6 themes from Hiroshima University. The exhibition themes of each institue are as follows.

■ Shizuoka University
Aoki Lab: Photon Counting X-ray Imager
Kawahito Lab: Near-infrared lock-in camera system for non-contact biological signal monitoring

■ Hiroshima University
Teramoto Lab: Transistor noise evaluation and 2D sensing using LSI
Kuroki Lab: SiC Electronics in extreme-environment and application to particle-beam medicine
Kameda Lab: Dental remote control chair system that can handle infectious diseases
Nakajima Lab: Alq3 mixed electron beam resist for nanoscale organic EL biosensor
Koide Lab: Development of colorectal cancer diagnosis support system by machine learning using CNN features, development of image analysis method using AI to elucidate sweating abnormalities in the pathophysiology of allergic skin diseases
Specially Appointed Associate Professor Tabei: Explanation of ARIM Japan (Advanced Research Infrastructure for Materials and Nanotechnology in Japan)

We will promote measures to increase contact points with companies toward the social implementation of research results in the second phase as well as in the first phase. Tokyo Institute of Technology and Tokyo Medical & Dental University will give lectures at Medtec Japan Webinar on June 30th.
