Financial Aid
We hire students as paid TAs (Teaching Assistants) and RA (Research Assistants) as part of our financial assistance program.
All students are encouraged to apply for fellowships for support from outside agencies as well.
Financial Support
The Graduate School has its own system of financial support. Both PhD students and students at the master's course who plan to enter the PhD course are able to receive financial support greater than one-half of their annual school expenses.

Our graduate school and Riken instituted a Postdoctoral Researchers program to provide young scientists with the opportunity to be involved in autonomous and independent research that is in line with RIKEN objectives and research fields.
exemption from scholarships
"Based on academic merit and financial need, students may receive half-tuition or full tuition scholarships.
International exchange students are also eligible for half-tuition or full tuition scholarships. TMDU and Beijing University have an agreement on academic exchange (January 2008).
Japanese Government Scholarships
Students who wish to apply for this scholarship program should come to the International Student Section for registration confirmation and to fill out an application form for the scholarship.
