研究内容
当研究室では、振動分光学的手法を用いて生命科学(構造生物学・生体分子分光学)・地球科学分野のテーマに取り組んでいます。これまでにカルシウム結合タンパク質のCa2+配位構造を同定する方法論を応用して、カルモジュリン、トロポニンCの金属イオンによる活性化の機構を調べました。特に、カルシウム結合部位のモデルとなる合成ペプチドを用いることによりCa2+配
位構造とペプチド鎖長の相関を明らかにしました。その他に、VLDL(超低密度リポタンパク質)やLDL(低密度リポタンパク質、別名:悪玉コレステロー
ル)中の脂質の状態解析や、ウシ受精卵と未受精卵の透明帯の解析などを行いました。最近では、キンギョやメダカのウロコの微小領域を解析するために、顕微ラ
マン分光によるアプローチを取り組んでいます。
