Parasite of the Month

Toxocara canis is the most common parasite of dogs throughout the world. Visceral larva migrans, due to the larval stage of this parasite, has also been reported from many countries. The symptoms will be of a pulmonary nature with an asthma-like condition or bronchitis, choughing, wheezing, and fever. An enlargement of the liver togethoer with a moderate to high eosinophilia are the only clinically diagnostic signs.
