Summary

NSFC A3 Foresight Program 2011 Meeting was held on October 8-11, 2011 at Xijing Hospital, Xi’an, China. This meeting highlighted epigenetic signatures in gastric carcinogenesis via molecular and epidemiological analyses. A total of 25 scientists (12 senior and 13 junior) from three nations attended this meeting. Each speaker was given for 10-15 minutes in presentation and discussion followed on further studies. During this meeting, several new collaborative research plans were proposed, and all of them were strongly supported by participants. Thus we hope that new results will be obtained soon by collaboration of researchers in three nations.
