Summary
NSFC A3 Foresight Program 2012 Seminar was held on October 21-24, 2012 at Hangzhou Huagang HNA Resort, Hangzhou, China. This meeting highlighted epigenetic signatures in gastric carcinogenesis via molecular and epidemiological analyses. A total of 35 scientists (14 senior and 21 junior) from three nations attended this meeting. Each of 7 senior speakers made a presentation about the summary of A3 Program in the Stage I (August 2009 to July 2012) and the further cooperation in the Stage II (August 2012 to July 2014) for 15 minutes. Each of 14 junior speakers was given for 12 minutes in presentation and discussion followed on further studies. During this meeting, several new collaborative research plans were proposed, and all of them were strongly supported by participants. Thus we hope that new results will be obtained soon by collaboration of researchers in three nations.
