授業の目的、概要等  
In this course we will be reading "Ethics in the Real World" written by Peter Singer. The book contains Singer's brief essays on various topics in ethics. The course has three aims: 1) to learn the characteristics of 'ethical' issues 2) to acquire 'active-reading' skills in English, and 3) to engage in discussions in English.
授業の到達目標  
Through this course, students will be able to
1) understand the characteristics of ethical issues and how they are conveyed in writing.
2) acquire active-reading skills in english.
3) express their ideas/thoughts and participate in discussions in english.

The class consists of a brief lecture on an assigned reading material and classroom discussion.

・Submission of an ‘in-class’ question sheet counts as attendance in this course (instead of the University's Attendance Management System).
