Education

Undergraduate Course
There is a series of lectures and practices on clinical physiological tests in the third school year. Physiological tests of circulation and respiration, electroencephalography, neurophysiological tests, ultrasound tests, MR imaging tests, thermography, equilibrium test, and non-mydriatic retinal camera are contained.
Some students make a study on ECG, MEG, PSG, etc. during the previous term of the forth school year. There is a series of laboratory practices in the latter term of the forth school year. Students observe and practice ECG, exercise test, Holter ECG, respiratory tests, blood gas analysis, and electroencephalography, and electromyography, cardiac and abdominal ultrasound in groups for two weeks.
Graduate Course
Based on physiology, imaging techniques and information technology, students learn how to analyze biomedical function as an organized system from a molecular level to an organ level. Students also learn how to develop and improve non-invasive examinations to measure higher biomedical function.

Research

  1. Neuroimaging Studies of Neuropsychiatry Diseases.
  2. Evaluation of Higher Brain Function using Non-invasive Techniques.
  3. Development of Neuroimaging and Physiological Techniques in Clinical Laboratory Medicine.
  4. Studies of Pulse Wave, Echocardiography, and Miscellaneous Electrocardiographic Technique.
  5. Studies of Meaning and Explanation about Medical Test Data.
